On April 12, 2015, Steve Darnall brought together some very talented friends to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Those Were the Days, with appearances by TWTD founder Chuck Schaden and announcer Ken Alexander. There were re-creations from the Golden Age of Radio performed by members of our Those Were the Days Players and our friends Trace Beaulieu (from Mystery Science Theater 3000) and Svengoolie himself, Rich Koz. There were great musical performances from the West End Jazz Band, the harmonies of The Famous Brothers, celebrated ragtime pianist Reginald Robinson… and a few surprises.
This special anniversary celebration was broadcast over WDCB on May 2, 2015.
